LABORATOIRE SISVITA BIOTECH presents the SISVITA® process on a worldwide scale, following biometric, microbial and enzymatic principles which, without the use of conventional energy, bio-transforms vinasse (wine dregs, also known as ‘nasty wine’) into BIOMIEL SISVITA®, rich in fermentable sugars. This is then reincorporated as a raw material into the traditional process of alcohol distillation, obtaining results of 13% (a potential 34%) of additional ethanol per litre of alcohol produced.
The bioprocess, tested by the Department of Research and Development of a leading company in the sector, is beginning to be employed by the leading distilleries in innovation in a number of countries.
